About

About the Upper Pontiac Parishes

The Upper Pontiac parishes are a family of Roman Catholic faith communities serving the people of the Upper Pontiac region in western Quebec. Rooted in the Gospel and nourished by the Eucharist, our parishes work together to foster prayer, community, and service across our rural towns and villages.

Who We Are

Our parish communities bring together people of all ages and backgrounds who share a desire to grow in faith and to support one another. We are united in worship, strengthened by the sacraments, and committed to living out the love of Christ in our families, workplaces, and neighbourhoods.

Parish Leadership

The parish administrator for the Upper Pontiac parishes is Rev. Réal Ouellette. Working with local volunteers and parish staff, Father Réal provides pastoral leadership, celebrates the sacraments, and supports the spiritual and pastoral needs of our communities.

Parish Communities and Worship

The Upper Pontiac parishes include several church communities serving the wider Upper Pontiac region along the Ottawa River. Each parish gathers regularly for Sunday Eucharist, weekday Mass when available, and the celebration of baptisms, weddings, funerals, and other sacramental moments in the life of the Church.

Because Mass times and schedules can change due to pastoral needs or seasonal adjustments, please consult the most recent parish bulletin or contact the parish office for up-to-date information on liturgies and parish events.

Sacraments and Pastoral Services

The Upper Pontiac parishes offer preparation and celebration of the sacraments, including Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Communion, Confirmation, and Marriage. Pastoral care is also available for the sick, the homebound, and those in hospital or long-term care. Please contact the parish office to inquire about preparation, scheduling, or pastoral visits.

Parish Office

The parish office serves all of the Upper Pontiac parishes, coordinating Mass intentions, sacramental records, pastoral appointments, and general parish administration. Office hours may vary on holy days and during holiday periods, so it is always a good idea to call or email before visiting.
